As the world is still striving to find the meaning of President Donald Trump's typo of the year 'covfefe', there is an ongoing legal war over the meaningless word which could be inscribed on products soon. TMZ reports that more than a handful of would-be entrepreneurs, have filed legal documents to own the right to inscribe 'covfefe' on shirts, sweaters, tank tops, pants, socks and all the other typical clothes for men, women, and children.

Prominent Northern youth organisations ob Tuesday held a meeting in Kaduna where they asked Igbos residing in the region to leave on or before October 1st this year. According to The Sun, the youth organizations had their meeting tagged "Kaduna Declaration" in at the Arewa House in Kaduna state Tuesday.
According to the youth groups, their order for the Igbos to vacate the region is premised on the shut-down of major towns in south eastern part of the country on May 30th by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and their sponsors.
Among the Northern youth groups present at the meeting were members of the Arewa Citizens Action for Change, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, Arewa Youth Development Foundation, Arewa Students Forum and Northern Emancipation Network on The Igbo Persistence for Recession among others.

Oh dear! This is very gory! Two young men were on Sunday burnt to death in Uvuru, Abih Mabise Local Government area in Imo State. According to a Facebook user, Amaefule Emmanuel who broke the bad news, the young men Kingsley and Chukwunoso were caught stealing in his community and were burnt to death ALIVE.

A suspect, Stephen Luka, who is standing trial for brutalising his ex-girlfriend and killing her sister, has told a Jos High Court that the police tortured him to obtain his confessional statement.

Giving evidence in a trial-within-trial on in Jos, Luka rebutted the charges and showed the court scars he sustained during the torture to obtain his statement.

Stephen Luka was arraigned before the court in October 2016 charged with murder, attempted murder, assault and sexual abuse.

Men of the Nigeria Police have arrested two wanted notorious kidnappers in Kogi State. The police had launched a manhunt for the duo of 24-year-old Suleiman Isah and Musa Mohammed, 31, both natives of Ankpa LGA of Kogi State, after they allegedly abducted one Jibrin Idris, an Islamic scholar and the chief Imam at Enabo in Ankpa District.

The gunmen later released the cleric after collecting an undisclosed amount of money as ransom.

Subsequently, IGP Ibrahim Idris ordered a manhunt for the kidnappers by operatives of the Intelligence Response Team, led by ACP Abba Kyari.

The kidnappers, upon collecting the ransom, escaped to Enugu State on sensing that IRT was trailing them.

A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday adjourned the trial of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, until July 7, due to his counsel’s ill health.

The court on April 25 adjourned the matter for cross examination after the testimony of the first prosecution witness, Victor Ehiabhi.

At the resumed hearing, the defence counsel, Abubakar Yusuf, who stood in for Ahmed Raji, informed the court that the defence would not be able to cross examine the witness due to Mr. Raji’s absence.

Mr. Yusuf said that Mr. Raji was currently receiving treatment abroad and the prosecution had been informed of the development.

Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, discharged a Boko Haram suspect, Usman Abubakar, who was arraigned alongside six others on terrorism charges.

Abubakar, the 6th defendant, was allegedly involved in the abduction of seven foreigners from a construction site in Bauchi, who were taken to Sambisa Forest, in Borno, where they were murdered in February 2013.

He was charged alongside Mohammed Usman (a.k.a Khalid Al-Barnawi), Mohammed Bashir Saleh, Umar Mohammed Bello (a.k.a Abu Azzan), Mohammed Salisu (a.k.a Datti), Yakubu Nuhu (a.k.a Bello Maishayi) and a lady, Halima Haliru.
