DONALD TRUMP'S PERSONAL LAWYER REACTS TO JAMES COMEY'S TESTIMONY

Shortly after the senate hearing of former FBI Director, James Comey where he repeatedly called Donald Trump a liar, the president's personal lawyer Marc Kasowitz held a press conference immediately to address the statements made by Comey.

According to Marc Kasowitz,

'Today, Mr. Comey admitted that he unilaterally and surreptitiously made unauthorized disclosures to the press of privileged communications with the President. The leaks of this privileged information began no later than March 2017 when friends of Mr. Comey have stated he disclosed to them the conversations he had with the President during their January 27, 2017 dinner and February 14, 2017 White House meeting'.

The South-East Governors` Forum has called on Northern leaders and other stakeholders to advise youths in the region to desist from making inflammatory statements that could heat up the polity.

The forum made the call on Thursday in Abakaliki, in a statement signed by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi, its Chairman.

The statement was in reaction to an ultimatum by 16 Northern youth associations, demanding that Igbos resident in the north leave before Oct. 1.

The police in Lagos, on Thursday said they have arrested a pastor for allegedly beheading a seven-year old boy and burying his head at the church’s altar.

The command’s spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) confirmed the arrest to newsmen, stressing that the suspect was arrested with an accomplice at Ikorodu.

Famous-Cole said the policemen arrested one Eric, whose confession led to the arrest of the pastor and the recovery of the boy’s body.

The Senate has passed a bill to protect whistleblowers and witnesses directly involved in the prosecution of certain criminal cases.

The bill, titled Witness Protection Programme (Establishment etc), SB 157, was passed on Thursday, following a report submitted by the committee on human rights, legal matters and judiciary chaired by David Umaru (APC-Niger).

It was sponsored by Isiaka Adeleke, the Osun West APC Senator who died in April.

When the bill scaled the second reading in October 2016, the Senate had resolved that it be merged with a similar proposal to protect persons making disclosures for public interest and other forms reappraisal, sponsored by Abiodun Olujimi, PDP-Ekiti.

The Akwa Ibom State government has issued an order to all the traders in the state to immediately reduce the cost of foodstuff in the market within 31 days. MAN KILLS WIFE OVER HOUSEKEEPING ALLOWANCE

Man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death during an argument over housekeeping money.

The suspect, 30-year-old Abdulahi Garuba, was among 13 suspects paraded on Wednesday in Lokoja by the Kogi State Police Command.

The murder was said to have been committed at Ihima, in the Okehi Local Government Area of the state.

Garuba, who said he had been married to his late wife, Falilat Saka, for the past 15 years, said they had been having argument over money.

Despite a 13 yr age gap between them, Hugh Jackman, 48, and his wife, Deborah-Lee Furness, 61, are still going strong 21yrs after tying the knot. Dishing on the secret behind their long and happy union, the couple put it all down to meditating together. When asked what has kept their bond thrive over the years, Hugh said: 'Meditation!'
