Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has suspended the Permanent Secretary at the State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Oludare Abegunde alongside three other high- ranking officers in the ministry.
According to Channels TV, they were suspended for alleged incompetence and mismanagement of government farmlands.
Fayose expressed dissatisfaction at the poor management of some government- owned farmlands situated at Emerin and Erifun communities along Federal Polytechnic road in Ado-Ekiti prompting to their suspension.
He also ordered the immediate constitution of a panel of inquiry to investigate the activities being carried out on the farmlands.
The governor, who recently appointed 12 new executive secretaries and general managers was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Dipo Anisulowo and some top government officials.
