A young woman in Brazil probably thought she’d come up with a foolproof way of smuggling drugs when she masqueraded as a mum-to-be.Police wouldn’t search a pregnant woman, right? Wrong.A footage shows, this 24-year-old brunette created an elaborate fake bump, which was stuck to her stomach with lengths of tape and then covered with clothes.Inside the “belly” was 3kg of cocaine.But cops were too smart to fall for that one and soon sussed her out.
Military police reportedly boarded a bus on the Marechal Rondon highway near Birigui on Wednesday as part of a routine inspection and removed the woman before making her remove the smuggling device.In the video an armed officer can be seen helping her cut the sticky tape as she struggles to detach the “bump”.She eventually removes the whole lot and hands it to the policeman.A large package can be seen on the inside of the tape.
A man travelling with her was reportedly also arrested.It is not clear what punishment, if any, the pair received.This is not the first time a woman has tried smuggling drugs by pretending to be pregnant.

A dad who took his children out of school to attend his wedding to their stepmother in Greece has been taken to court for failing to pay a fine for one of his daughters.Dean Dixon, 36, travelled to Rhodes in September to tie the knot with his wife Ashley, 31. He applied for time off for his three children so they could attend the special occasion and see their dad get married.His son was best man and his daughters were bridesmaids. Dean was given permission to take his two youngest children, 10-year-old Keira and Freddie, 7, out of Lent Rise Primary School in Slough, Berkshire.But Cox Green Secondary in Maidenhead, the school attended by his eldest child, 12-year-old Katie - refused to let her have the time off.Mr Dixon, an accounts manager, was fined £60 for taking his child out of school without permission to attend his wedding and appeared in court for failing to pay.Speaking to Mirror Online, wife Ashley said: "I think it's a bloody joke! With all the politics going on at the moment and lack of money the country has and they waste it on innocent people!"My step children have never taken any unnecessary time off school and Katie had caught up with all her work within a week of returning to school, she said.The hearing continues...
A calf born with eyes, nose and ears resembling those of a human is being worshipped by Indian villagers who believe it is an avatar of a Hindu God, Lord Vishnu.The calf was born on Thursday in an animal shelter in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, northern India. Soon after its birth, hundreds of locals from surrounding villages gathered to pay their respects.
The animal died within an hour of its birth but that did not stop more locals from coming to seek its blessing. Video footage shows people offering flowers and bowing before the dead calf, which has been kept inside a glass box since it died.
Locals have now made plans to build a temple for the animal.Speaking of the animal, Mahesh Kathuria, 50, a local businessman, said:
“God has taken birth from the body of a local cow. We came here to seek his blessings. Religiously, it is an avatar of Vishnu. We believe it’s a similar character mentioned in Bhagavata Puran, a Hindu religious text.”

The ex-wife of convicted Liberian president Charles Taylor denied committing 'allegations of rape and torture', a court heard today. Agnes Reeves-Taylor, 51, is alleged to have condoned rape and torture amounting to 'extremely grave war crimes', Westminster Magistrates Court heard.During the Liberian Civil War Reeves-Taylor is said to have allowed the torture of seven women in Gbarnga, Liberia, at the HQ of Taylor's National Patriotic Front. It is alleged the crimes were committed between December 23 1989 and January 1 1991.She appeared at court supported by her brother to face four torture charges, but only spoke to confirm her name and address.Karen Jones, prosecuting, said: 'She does not admit the allegations that have been made and denies any involvement at all. 'She admits that she was in war play at the time and did not see what was going on there.
