Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, had a closed door meeting with APC governors at the state house in Abuja today July 20th. According to the chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Rochas Okorocha who spoke with state house correspondents, the meeting was centered on issues bothering on their party, APC.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Moatshe’ Ngoepe, who confirmed the incident said the deceased was six months pregnant.

“It is alleged that the deceased was attacked at her home by unknown suspects who broke into the house and shot her several times before fleeing the scene. The deceased’s mother managed to escape from the house unhurt‚”

"The deceased is identified as Nare Beanice Malebana‚ who was a Grade 12 learner at Jim Chavani High School at Xikundu village.”

The motive for her murder was still unclear. Ngoepe said a manhunt had been launched for the killers.

Detectives attached to Area Commander Umuahia Office of the Abia State Police Command acting on a tip off recovered one locally made double barrel short gun with its cartridge in a local joint where Indian hemp is smoked at Amaeke Abam, Arochukwu on July 4th.

Two men, Uche Friday and Ndubueze Louis, aged 38 and 37 years respectively were arrested for investigation.

Also recovered were some wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

A teenage boy was on Monday arrested by the Police in East Legon for leading a robbery attack on a white businessman at the East Legon in Ghana.
