LANDSLIDES KILL 134 PEOPLE IN BANGLADESH WITH FAMILIES BURIED ALIVE AS THEY SLEPT IN THEIR HOME

Landslides following heavy monsoon rains in southeastern Bangladesh have killed at least 134 people.

AFP reports that the remote Rangamati region was hardest hit by the pre-dawn landslides, with at least 98 deaths. Many of the victims in the hilly district lived in poor tribal communities, and were buried in their homes while sleeping.

NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPER, EVANS SAYS HIS MOTHER KNEW HE WAS A CRIMINAL

Notorious billionaire kidnapper, Evans, while confessing to his crimes, made a number of revelations, one of which confirms what his father said about his mother misleading him. Evans revealed that his mother was aware that he was involved in illegal activities but hastened to add that she was not in support.

He said: "My mother does not come to my house and she also knows that I am into crime but she is not in support."



Vanguard reports that in a chat with newsmen, Evans promised to give up his evil ways and become a born again Christian if freed. He spoke of how he went into kidnapping after being introduced to it by a friend known as Hunchman. Hunchman was eventually killed during the failed kidnapping attempt on the life of the owner of Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo. He began kidnapping in Anambra state, during Peter Obi's tenure but was later forced to leave the state from where they relocated to Edo and grew the kidnapping syndicate, getting more boys from Warri, Delta State to join them. From there, he moved to Lagos and continued in the illegal business.

POLICE ARREST 63 SUSPECTS OVER LYNCHING OF ALLEGED "WITCH" IN GHANA

The Bolgatanga Police Command in the Upper East Region of Ghana, have arrested 63 suspects in connection with the lynching of a 67-year old woman at Penlugu market who was accused of being a witch.
The 63  suspects were picked up in a raid on Saturday at Pelungu and Tindongo, and are currently in custody, where they would be screened for identification.
The victim, Yenboka Kenna, age 67, was accused of witchcraft by some residents of the area and was sent to the Chief of Pelungu Naab Sobil Sore (IV) who later discharged her of not being guilty.

This is nothing short of a miracle. A speeding truck rammed into an SUV early Sunday morning, atop Aroma Flyover bridge, Awka, Anambra State.

POLICEMAN SHOOTS WIFE, MAID, KILLS HIMSELF IN NASARAWA

A police officer identified as Sgt Thomas Agada, attached to the Nasarawa State Police Command, shot and killed himself at Masaka in Karu Local Government Area of the state yesterday June 11th.

According to reports, the deceased police officers shot and injured his wife and his maid at their shop around De Memories Hotel in Masaka before killing himself.
