DESMOND ELLIOT DONATES FREE RIDE TO SCHOOL BUS TO SURULERE STUDENTS

 

Nollywood actor/ director turned politician, Hon. Desmond Elliot, who is representing Surulere 1 Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly, donated the bus which will be used to convey students from his constituency to school for free. He shared photos of the bus on social media with the caption;

“It’s two years already , In saying thank you to God and the good people of Surulere , I am honoured to bring the first “free ride to school” bus for children around Surulere. Surulere my dear Surulere I can’t thank you enough !!!!

Over the weekend, Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane was arrested in Miami, Florida for theft, credit card and identity fraud. OAP, Daddy Freeze has come out to defend him saying that one mistake doesn't define him and that the pressure on young entertainers is unimaginably enormous. He wrote;

NIGERIAN MAN BASED IN SOUTH AFRICA PUT HIS SIDE CHICK ON BLAST AFTER HE DISCOVERED SHE LIED ABOUT HER CHILD'S PATERNITY

A married Nigerian man based in South Africa, Oba Don has put his side chick on blast yesterday after he found out she lied about the paternity of her child. In December 2016, Mr Oba Don shared the news of the birth of son only to discover that he wasn't the actual father of the child after series of DNA test. 5 months later He shared screenshots of the the DNA test and lamented about the N2.5 million naira he's already spent on the lady.

The man shared a photo of the South African lady and said people should stop confusing her with his wife;

He went on to warn men to be careful of whom they sleep with especially if they have money because the ladies will claim they are pregnant for them just to collect their money.

CNN HOST IS ACCUSED OF MAKING 'RACIST' REMARK TO 12-YEAR-OLD SPELLING BEE CHAMPION

A CNN anchor has caused massive outrage after she made a statement considered racist by most.

Alisyn Camerota had made the remark while interviewing 12-year-old Ananya Vinay who is the latest Scripps Spelling Bee Champion.
During the interview, Ananya, who is of Indian origin, was asked by a second host, Chris Cuomo, to spell "covfefe" - the meaningless word that became popular after Donald Trump mistakenly tweeted it. The girl spelled it as "cofefe".

"Thank you very much. That's the only good answer we've heard about that word in days," Chris Cuomo said.

Alisyn Camerota now replied:

 "It was really COVFEFE but, again, it's a nonsense word so we're not sure that its root is actually in Sanskrit, which is what you're probably used to using. "

A number of people feel Alisyn's remark was a jab at Ananya's origin and as such degrading because it meant she was not used to English.

Ananya, though of Indian origin, was born and raised in Fresno, California and had just been named the 2017 champion the previous evening. She is the 13th overall Indian-American child to win the competition. Since 2008, an Indian-American child has won the competition every single year.

Ananya beat nearly 11 million children to emerge champion of the competition and was called "unflappable" by ESPN commentators because of how well she comported herself throughout the rounds of competition.
